Resolutions!

Nahhh, i feel too cheesy when writing about resolution, its like 'who cares?'

But I just have to jot it down somewhere, so I choose my long abandon blog
Okay back to the topic, I gonna start running tomorrow (syiera? running? where is the gajah in you? haha)
Yes I have to. Not because of I want that dream body (okay, I still want it) but I fall sick for the whole three weeks just because I am stressed out, juggling between studies and SRC work. I have to get fit as today the whole day I suffer from painful headache and runny nose.

I have to. I have to.
Wish me luck. XOXO

ayat-ayat cinta

Buka tafseer,
Baca.

Tertikam hati,
Terkelu lidah sebentar
Tenung depan

Allah bercakap dengan kau, Syiera. Allah tengah ingatkan.

Tutup tafseer
Nangis

Allah! ayat-ayatMu, buat aku tertampar
Dalam sakit itu, aku rindu.

Longing.

I know my heart long for something
I have tried a few things,
I ran away,
I took my time alone,
I gave my heart to something else
Yet it did not work

I know i'm missing something
In the most deepest place in my soul
I'm aching for it

Today, I know what I miss the most
Today, I know what I long the most
I miss the warmth of Allah's love
Ya Allah, bring me back, bring me back on the track

Future housewife, future mommy

First I have to clarify that this post is not about me being a future housewife or future mommy in any time soon. It just something that cross my mind while I'm folding clothes just now (you know for the preparation of being good housewife someday, lol!)

Yeah something cross my mind while I am folding the clothes while listening to my playlist at the highest volume possible. As so-called generation Y, after baby boomer generation, we literally cannot be separated from music, gadgets and so much more entertainment-induced stuffs. Taking me myself as an example, while doing any chores, first thing first is I plug in my earphone, search for playlist and the song come out blasting to my ears, there, I am ready to do anything even to bungee jump. I wonder if one day, when this so-called generation Y are to be parents, are we still listening to the highest volume on our I-pod while breast-feeding our child (sorry for the example though) or while we are assisting our children in doing their homework. How we gonna hear what our children have to tell us when all we do is listen to the music?

It is not only about the music and whatnot, it is more than that. The music, gadgets is not wrong at all, me myself a gadget-dependent, literally from the moment I wake up until I sleep. One day, I was cooking with my mum and i was Instagramming whatever we cooked that day, my mum, on the high pitch, said "kau ni dah kenapa amek-amek gambar ni!?" ("why are you taking those picture!?") and she shooed me away from kitchen to put down my phone somewhere else. And at that moment I was thinking it is not wrong because almost everybody at my circle of age doing the same thing. Aha!, i forgot about the generation gap. You know, something that we do not see as it is wrong, its look so wrong from our parents and our grandparents perspective. I wonder if in 5 to 10 years ahead, when all of us become mommies, do we still taking so much time at kitchen, not to cook the meal, but to Instagram each and every steps of us cooking. Maybe a meal that supposed to take only 30 minutes becomes 1 and the half hours just because we are so busy taking pictures? (I could not imagine my Instagram timeline at that moment)

What i am writing today is not to be taken literally as in we should not listen to music and we should not Instagram our picture anymore. Me myself would back off but here i would like to address something much more important, where we see ourselves as social enough, equipped with latest technology and seem like we have all the knowledge that we need. In fact, try to look at a group of youngsters eating at mamak stall, do they talk to each other or they just stare down at their phone like nobody business? It is sickening. So much self-centered. I wonder how this self-centered generation (MY generation to emphasis) is going to be a good parents, to care for other person, our own children while now what we are doing is like "I dont care for others as long as I have a good Wi-Fi connection"

I have to admit this generation will be something different than our parents. Different perspective of looking at life, different ways of handling things, so much different in so many aspects. As some of us embracing this on the bright side such as becoming more vocal, more open-minded and more globally-centered, most of us just becoming more and more self-centered, passive and do not want to mingle around.

I am looking forward to see the future housewife, future mommy, future parents from generation Y. It is same as I imagine - A housewife cooking while instagramming and a dad teaching his firstborn to walk while listening to the highest volume on I-pod or a mommy cleaning up the house using water hose and spray everything because at that moment everything is waterproof.

Misunderstood.

She is the girl who always misunderstood and misstated by people.

She is the girl when she speaks, people thought she wanted people to follow her order.
Truth is she is very open for negotiation, and she also knows she not always right.

She is the girl when she remain silents, people assumed she is angry.
Truth is she try to listen and thinking how to say a beautiful words even she object.

She is the girl when she is willing to give everything, people are afraid to ask for anything.
Because people scared she will scold them

She is the girl when she pick up the phone toneless, people ask "are you ok?"
Truth is she just don't have the skills to talk over phone, she prefers face to face

She is the girl when she walk down the hallway expressionless
People judge her as arrogant, just because her lips curled downwards
what people want her to do? some facial surgery?

She is the girl, who don't know how to deliver a lovey dovey words to anyone
Just because she's being raised by a very strict mother, who she knows love her so deeply

She is the girl who don't remember people's birthday, because she's not good with numbers
but she loves all of them nonetheless

She is the girl who always make unfavorable choice
Because she hold firmly to what she believes

She is the girl who people thought judge other people, mistreat other people, misstate other people
Yet she is the one who being judged, being mistreated and being misunderstood.

Thank you, love.
